Abstract

This exploratory qualitative study examines the strategic human resource management (SHRM) practices that foster psychological safety in ethnically and culturally diverse teams. Using thematic analysis of interview data from 24 HR managers and team leaders across multinational corporations, five key HR strategies were identified: inclusive onboarding processes, conflict-sensitive feedback mechanisms, diversity leadership training, transparent grievance systems, and ongoing bias mitigation programs. The findings underscore the central role of HR not just in compliance, but in shaping the emotional climate necessary for innovation and team cohesion in diverse settings.
